Yesterday we talked about maintaining balance between logic and emotion.
To learn about yourself, start by watching others. Pay attention to each person’s logic/emotion balance. Watch their mannerisms and facial expressions. Observe the decisions they make, based on their emotional/logical balance. What is the intent behind their decisions and actions?
Once we learn to recognize the balance and it’s affect on others, we will begin to recognize it in ourselves. When we learn to recognize an imbalance within ourselves, we take the first step toward consciously controlling the balance between logic and emotion that will influence our decisions and actions.
We all know what it feels like when emotion is triggered and surges out of control. When this happens, be strong enough to back away from the situation until the emotional surge subsides. It can be hard because emotion is a Rush. We’ve grown so numb from daily life, it feels good to feel anything, even anger, which can be quite seductive.
