We’ve covered the basics of how to change your attitude in order to change your life, but there is another trick that will help tremendously.
We must shock our brain out of its old patterns, then instantly place new patterns into our thoughts. With practice, the new patterns will become the default, and the old attitudes will disappear.
When you feel your bad attitudes taking over, interrupt your own thought patterns by introducing something foreign, something that does not belong in the situation. When you don’t want to do something, think of a bird chirping in your head, or imagine an air horn suddenly going off. Now, instantly think of a good association with whatever you have to do, by concentrating on how it will help others and the big picture.
Changing your attitudes will make your life easier and more meaningful. Here’s how. Interrupt your negative thought patterns and replace them with positive associations.
